Tonight, we attended the exhibition practice and fan-involved Fan Fest for the
Brazos Valley Bombers.
We had a great time and can’t wait to use our season tickets to see all the games of
Bryan’s local team!!!
Last year, we shared a game with Charles & Elain and had a fabulous time (in spite of rained out fireworks). This year, we hope to make our attendance a regular double date with family/friends. So, if you are interested in attending, please let us know.

We spent the day with them, watching the Aggies beat the Longhorns (Whoop!), and catching up with family. Lori worked on a scarf project, too.
Around seven, we headed over to Mom’s, unloaded the truck, and settled in for the night. It was easy to crash when it came time to crawl into bed.

It was such a nice conversation and was so good to hear his voice. It really brightened my otherwise gloomy day.

Here is our plan:
- Lori menu plans
- Jessica shops
- Cady cooks
- Emil cleans
We each chip in $5 per person per meal. Any extra money left over is used to purchase staples for use at future meals (frozen veggies, canned goods, mixes and sauce packets, spices, etc.). We hope to eat together 3-4 times a week, with Sunday evenings being an easy/quick meal that we all assemble like a one-skillet meal or a quick casserole.
We run the whole thing via Google Calendar and Google Docs, so that everyone’s preferences are considered and so that we can mesh calendars, easily.
So far, it’s working great. We are about to start Week 2 and have made some tweaks to the plan (like everyone helping cook on Sunday). We all hope to see a better effect on our waist lines and our bottom lines.
