I don’t think I knew the expression was THREE sheets to the wind. I think I thought it was two.
Three sheets to the wind
pretty funny origin, huh?

Wow, half way point, already! I don’t feel as productive as I wanted to by this point, but it’s been a busy two weeks: Homecoming, Luzaween, etc., so I think I may have expected too much of myself.
- After a weekend of late nights and no ability to take my sleeping med, I took it for the first time in a while last night. I also forgot and took it a little late, so it made me sleep in a little bit, but was worth the good/solid night of sleep
- walking in the woods with the dogs
- responded to a silly request
- Getting Things Done
- lunch with my baby
- laundry
- final editing touches on Allison’s bridals
- uploading Allison’s bridals – phase i
- rescued a dog that wandered up to our house, called and searched for the owner, puppy-sat for the rest of the afternoon, disciplined him and Indi when they fought too hard over a chewy
- spent the afternoon putting out fires; what a day!
- meeting
- break up another tiff between the dogs
- delivered the dog to his owner
- dinner at Fritella
- sneak preview of a Bee Movie courtesy of our friend, Glen
- Getting Things Done
- uploading Allison’s bridals – phase ii
- pre touching the Wivagg family portraits
- blogging Allison’s bridal session
whew, today was much more productive. Given all I have to do soon, I hope the rest of the week is just as good!

What a great weekend with so many parties!
- sleep in!
- head downtown for the BuyBrazos.com ribbon cutting; Indigo went with me and behaved really well
- met a local designer who does Feng Shui and can help me organize the house!
- shared a piece of Mr. G’s pizza with Indigo, making a note to call the city and complain that they made Mr. G remove his patio and outdoor seating
- made takeway cards for this weekend’s wedding, sent them to the printer for an estimate
- met with a local aspiring wedding planner about this weekend’s wedding
- double checked our plans for Friday night
- responded to a friend’s request
- prepared for the wedding
- commune
- snuggle time in front of the TV (yay!)

Luzaween was a blast! We had hotdogs and sandwiches and tons of snacks, including our famous queso.
Emil and I both work with cops: I’m a tech writer at police academy and he provides IT support to the university police, so we came up with a cop-themed pair: Emil was the “good” cop and I was the “bad” cop.
Our party was the same night as Paul & Victoria’s, so we all did the party-hop thing in shifts. It’s always fun to go see their friends, too, especially since we have a few in common.
Costume winners:
- the League of Justice (Beth as Bat Girl, Marc as Superman, Bailey as Batman, and Isis as Robin)
- Mad Scientist (Alexi and her fogging cup)
- Georgia (the Budweiser Bat)
- Diego (Spanish gypsy bitch with an attitude)
Jessica planned and prepared a scavenger hunt in the woods; soooo much fun to take a dozen drunks on a hunt at 3am with only two flashlights! Laura and Georgia were the most skilled hunters and came out with some good loot!
Thanks to everyone who came and especially those who helped! See you next year: Saturday, October 25th!

- impromptu commune with left over food from Luzaween
- Bartenders’ Ball: a blast, as always; thank you, Budweiser!
