While I realize that there has been a crime spree at this end of Northgate, wouldn’t we all be better served if only about 3 of these officers hung out at this end while the others patrolled the area? And, if there is a valid reason for doing it this way, they need a sign that says why they are all hanging out in the exact same spot…to educate the patrons.

It’s 4:05pm on a TEEXan Thursday (when they send us home at 4:30pm). Someone just came through and closed the supply closets for the night. At the same, time, my iPod randomly selected Lyle Lovett’s “Closing Time”.

I just got a phone call from a former co-worker. He’s looking to surprise a friend of our’s and wanted to make sure he was on the right track.

It was such a nice conversation and was so good to hear his voice. It really brightened my otherwise gloomy day.

Sosta Themis Salter Luza turns 12 years old today.

Happy Birthday the most princess kitty we know!

Emil has joined some of our MOSS friends (our Friday football picks group) in a local softball league. They are the Fightin’ Squirrels. After two practices, tonight was their first game. In true Fightin’ Squirrels tradition, they lost big (19-2), but had tons of fun.

One player tore a calf muscle. And, a player on another team at the park slid into a knee and got knocked out. Luckily, everyone recognized the concussion symptoms and he went to the hospital.

Next week is a double header, which Emil will miss for the Miami/A&M game.
