“‘Charity’ to benefit area organizations

The Theatre Company will donate 10 percent of its proceeds from matinee ticket sales for Sweet Charity to four local charities.

Sweet Charity is a musical about a kind-hearted dance hall hostess looking for love. Evening performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and June 8-9 at the Tejas Center at Villa Maria Road and Texas Avenue in Bryan.

Recipients are Brazos Valley Food Bank on Saturday, Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley on Sunday, Children’s Miracle Network Brazos Valley on June 9 and Brazos Valley Animal Shelter on June 10.

Matinees are at 2 p.m. June Saturday and Sunday and June 9-10. A representative of each charity will be at a the designated matinee to hand out information.

Tickets are $10 for matinees, $12 for evening shows and $5 for children under 12.”
