busy as a bee

We have been just slammed with stuff going on!

Since Easter…

  • We travelled to Paris for the Larry Salter Memorial Golf Tournament. Emil played a round with “team misfits”, as usual. Lori shot candid imagess and worked on stuff for As You Wish clients
  • Lori had a job interview (which she did not get) and is now more seriously dusting off the resume and portfolio in hopes of some more
  • Lori found out she does NOT need another root canal (yay)..but learned that her symptoms are stress-induced and now has to sleep with a mouth guard

No, the flooring upstairs is not done. We didn’t have time to finish it before the next “wedding season” so we put that project on hold. We might try again this summer. We hope to get it done this year so that next year, we can finally work on our outside decks.

As You Wish has been busy, too: Lori attended the nationally famous one-week-long Texas Photography School (held at A&M each April), shot two sets of senior portraits, three engagement sessions, one actual engagement (right place, right time!), three sets of bridals, and three weddings

…and a partridge in a pear tree! She received the highest of compliments at Texas School from her instructor, “If you lived in Jacksonville (FL), I’d hire you.” wow! Since Texas School instructors are the best of the best, this was a huge compliment! There were also several other amazing opportunities offered that we can’t quite talk about. But, rest assured, if any of them materialize into reality, you’ll all be the first to know!

For those of you keeping up with the copyright infringement incident, most of the groups are still reviewing the situation. We are hopeful that this will be resolved quickly and that we (ALL of us) can put this behind us.
